The Runner's wishlist top 5

1. Mio

The pioneering company Mio brought out the first wrist-based, heart-rate watch. Their latest device is called PAI, which stands for Personal Activity Intelligence.

Using knowledge of physiology scientists, Mio has developed the PAI introducing runners to a new way of making sense of their heart rate.

PAI gives runners a single health score, the closer to 100, the healthier you are. This number is extracted from massive data, peer-reviewed studies and the science of heart variability.

The Slice, an elegant Mio wristband, showcases the PAI index at a glance.

2. Lumenus

Jeremy Wall is the founder of Lumenus a sports fashion company that makes running vests, shirts, and pants with sportive modern styling and futuristic features like electronics underneath to keep athletes safe in the dark.

Running in this sportswear at night, activates hidden LEDs (The battery life of these LEDs lights is 24 hours). The lights flash left or right signaling the direction of the next turn. The LEDs lights flashes also to warn other traffickers in intersections.

For self-coaching purpose another light shows how close the wearer is to a determined pace during the work out.

It is advisable to carry a phone when running, because the app is familiar with a user’s running route and expected turns based on information from Google Mapping.

3. Sensoria

Sensoria embeds electronic sensors in socks, shirts and other sportwear for up to date information about your health and running. This valuable data can then later be analyzed with the company’s phone app.

The beauty is in the details with Sensoria's advanced technology.

The pressure sensors in the socks tell foot landing technique, form, and ground-contact time: all included as data in the Sensoria app as “foot impact score.” and the Sensoria tshirts reveal kinematic information and accurate heart rate.

Always evolving the company's main focus remains on the details, including a smaller battery and wireless unit.

4. ProSource Sports Medicine Roller

Massage tight muscles loose using the ProSource Sports Medicine Roller. The design of this specific type of foam roller with raised bumps and grooves goes beyond regular, smooth foam rollers.

The result of using it is a deep tissue massage, increased bloodflow and an effective, afforable way to release musclesknots; specifically for tight areas in the body after a work out, such as the upper back, legs, glutes, and calves.

For the most comfortable exercise routine 2 density zones are balanced. Evenly spaced large and small bumps on this foam roller provide multiple contact points: an experience and sensation very similar to a visit from a professional masseuse.

It improves athletic performance as it is an aid in recovery and it reduces muscle and joint soreness.

The Sports Medicine Foam Roller has a firm EVA foam-filled center. The solid and durable interior prevents breaking under heavy weight and long use.

5. SportsView

The t-shirt designer ViewSPORT makes t-shirts that have a sweat activated technology.

After working up a sweat a motivational quote appears, which would not be seen on the otherwise dry fabric.

The best part about a ViewSPORT t-shirt is that you can customize it making this sport item also a very good idea for a personal gift for a sport fanatic or even for "thinking out of the box" sponsoring purposes.

Lifehack Finders Nice to Know:

Imagine running in a marathon in one of these shirts and making it to the end.. starting of with only the word "Runner" printed on the t-shirt and finishing with the text "Marathon Runner".
